Outdoor enthusiasts will also find numerous hiking trails to explore the spectacular landscapes of Ardèche, with waterfalls, panoramic views, and wild nature. Perched above Labastide-sur-Bésorgues, the hamlet of Freyssenet captivates with its authenticity and breathtaking panoramas. Wander through its stone alleyways and discover the traditional bread oven, a symbol of Ardèche’s rural charm. Between nature walks, valley views, and moments of relaxation, Freyssenet is an ideal getaway for anyone wanting to experience authentic Ardèche.
- Go canyoning in nature in small groups in the Bésorgues valley. Personalized and educational approach or technical approach with certified guides.
- Go hiking in the valley. Some routes: Les crêtes, between Volane and Besorgues, Le Suc de Chalembelle, Le rocher de Cheylard
- Swim in the river
- Explore the Besorgues at the whim of the wind and discover its waterfalls, gorges, and hidden treasures.
- Discover the night market in July and August, “Les jeudis de la Vallée”, featuring local producers, creators, food stalls and live music, on the village square from 6:00 pm onwards.
- Choose from one of the 16 circuits de l’ardéchoise cycling routes that pass through the village.
- Enjoy the village leisure area. Located in the heart of the village, it offers picnic tables and children’s play equipment.
- Stock up at the bistrot de pays and grocery shop, offering fresh produce and local specialties, open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 11:32 am to 12:30 pm. Closed on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- Gather chestnuts in autumn
